Taxi Cab Driver Physicals
(Public Vehicle Operator)
Ohio regulations require that any person driving a taxi cab in the State of Ohio complete a physical exam by a licensed physician. The taxi cab physical exam is important to ensure that the public vehicle operator/taxi cab driver is free of any medical conditions that may make them unsafe to drive a taxi.
The physical exam for a public vehicle operator/taxi driver can be completed easily in one visit and includes a head to toe exam and an eye exam. Once the physical exam and eye exam are completed our physician will complete a physician statement certifying that the individual is found to be fit to drive a taxi cab.
The examiner will certify in the physicians statement for the taxi cab driver that they have found the driver to be of sound physique, good hearing, not subject to epilepsy, vertigo, heart trouble, or any other infirmity of body or mind, which might render them unfit for the safe operation of a public vehicle.
If you wear glasses it is important that you bring them with you for your taxi cab driver physical exam

If you have any medical conditions that you are worried may exclude you from driving a taxi cab you may want to bring a statement from your family doctor stating that they feel you are safe to drive a taxi cab.
